The short version: Poppinjay collects nothing. There are no ads, no analytics, no accounts and no tracking. The game never connects to the internet itself.
What stays on your device
Your progress, settings, saved run, Daily Pop results and postcards are kept in the game's private storage on your phone or tablet. We never see them.
Deleting the game deletes them, and Settings → Reset Progress clears your progress at any time. If your device's backup is turned on (iCloud Backup, or Android backup to your Google account), the backup may include the game's files, under Apple's or Google's own terms. We cannot see that backup either.
Buying the Full Adventure or the Supporter Pack
Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play, and Apple or Google handles the payment under their own privacy policy. The game only gets the store's confirmation of what you bought, which it keeps on your device so your unlock works offline.
We never receive your name, email address, Apple ID or payment details. Like every developer, we can see the store's sales reports (the date, the price and the country), and we use them only for our accounts.
Permissions
- On iPhone and iPad, the game asks for none. The little buzzes when you draw and pop need no permission, and you can turn them off in Settings.
- On Android, the game uses Vibration, for those buzzes, and Google Play billing, so you can buy the Full Adventure or the Supporter Pack.
Nothing else: no internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files.
Crash reports
The game has no crash reporting of its own. If you have chosen to share analytics or diagnostics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple or Google may send us anonymous crash reports.
Children
The game collects no information from anyone, including children.
This website
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from anyone else: its fonts, pictures and video all come from this site. Our own server keeps no record of your visits. The site reaches you through Cloudflare, which, like any network that carries a web page, handles your IP address and the pages you ask for in order to deliver them and to protect the site from attacks, and may receive a short report from your browser if a page fails to load. Cloudflare does that under its own privacy policy, and we do not use it to track or profile you.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be in the game, on its store pages and here, with a new date above.
